Book Talk - Come Back, Judy Baba: Memoirs of India

Where: Lynn Valley Main Library - Program Room
Born in India, Judy Norbury is a well-known Comox Valley singer-songwriter. Her fascinating new book, Come Back Judy Baba: Memoirs of India, richly details her early childhood growing up at the Mussoorie hill station in the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains. When Judy contracted polio at age four, the family moved back to Canada and started over in Vancouver. Co-written with her mother, Mary Hargreaves Norbury, Come Back Judy Baba tells of Judy's year in an Indian children's hospital, painful therapy and a trip to Lourdes. Judy recently returned to India and visited the places of her birth and childhood.

You won't want to miss this mesmerizing talk - you'll be transported back to 1950's-era India!

Free; to register, please call 604-984-0286 ext. 8144.
