Thinking of renting the movie Men Who Stare at Goats? Why not check this talk out…

Come to the Capilano Library and see Gerry Hennessy speak about and demonstrate psychic spy techniques used in the Cold War!

In this unique presentation, combining a slide show with performance, Cold War Historian and professional Mentalist Gerry Hennessy will discuss the history and involvement of Psychics and Magicians in major events throughout the last century.

During the Cold War of the 60s and early 70s the one upmanship between the KGB and CIA took a very strange turn when it became known that the KGB were forging ahead with research into “paranormal” abilities.

Moreover, their research led them to believe that they could develop a new level of espionage, i.e. the Psychic Spy.

Many of the demonstrations used by these people to convince the KGB that Psychic Spying was possible will be presented.
