Book Clubs

NVDPL Book Clubs

All branches - Lynn Valley Main, Capilano and Parkgate - each have a book club. The groups run from September through May and have a membership of 25. Registration is in August and a $25.00 fee (which includes HST) is collected at the first meeting. The Clubs meet once a month on a regular day and time. Members are each lent a copy of the book for discussion that month and the sessions are led by a librarian. The clubs try to read a diverse selection of books that provoke good discussion.

The library also has a Book Club Collection. The Books in this collection are available for borrowing in sets of 10 or more. In most cases as these books have been discussed by the Library's book discussion groups so notes are also available. Holds are also permitted on multiple copies.
