Jacqui J-C This is a feel good, cozy mystery series set in Botswana. Comedic but touching on sensitive issues and real life drama. The screen adaptation is very true to Alexander McCall Smith's original book "The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency". It gives a good taste of the life and challenges of living and working in Botwana.
The novels and film series focus on the story of a detective agency opened by Mma Ramotswe and her courtship with the mechanic Mr. JLB Matekoni. The series is filmed on location in Botswana and is the first major film or television production to be undertaken in the country.
Recommended for light (feel-good) entertainment.
